Jova Solutions, developer of FermWorks - the comprehensive software solution for data logging, recipe development, experiment management, and process control in fermentation and cell culture labs (biopharma and biofuels), today announced the general release of FermWorks 2.3. FermWorks 2.3 enhances functionality, adds drivers for several new instruments, and is faster and more efficient than previous versions. In related news, Jova announced the expansion of FermWorks deployments in the labs of its installed base, and the addition of significant new installations of FermWorks in both biopharma and biofuels labs.

FermWorks Expands Instrument Support by Adding
Nova BioProfile 400 and Applikon i-Control Bioreactor
Jova Solutions today announced support for the Nova BioProfile 400 analytic sampler and Applikon i-Control bioreactor controller in FermWorks. FermWorks automation software is designed as an open instrument portal, bringing together data from all of the instruments typically used in fermentation and cell culture laboratories within one process control and networked data management solution.

Renewable Fuels Pioneer ZeaChem, Inc., Selects FermWorks for Bioreactor Data Acquisition and Process Control
Jova Solutions today announced the installation of FermWorks automation software in the process development labs at ZeaChem, Inc. ZeaChem is pioneering biorefinery technology for the conversion of cellulosic biomass to ethanol using combinations of biochemical and thermochemical processing steps.

Jova Solutions Announces Image Sensor Lab ISL-1600 Version 2
Jova Solutions today announced Version 2 of Image Sensor Lab™ ISL-1600, an expanded version of its CMOS image sensor and camera module test solution, which provides a full range of CMOS image sensor interface, control, test, evaluation and comparison capabilities in one low-cost (less than $5000), small-footprint test product. The fully integrated hardware/software solution supports testing on a wide variety of CMOS image sensors, with a full complement of evaluation and test functionality, for needs ranging from end-product development to manufacturing line functional testing.
